A Specialized Community Concert Band in Austin, Texas
New Horizons Band of Austin is a welcoming, no-audition adult community concert band based in Austin, Texas. Our focus is on musicians who are at least 50 years of age, although we warmly welcome adults of all ages who wish to nurture their talent and share it with others. Our ensemble is comprised of adults who have played for decades, as well as those who have recently returned to their instruments or even want to learn how to play a different one.
We rehearse weekly and perform free public concerts throughout the year.
